Overview
Location services allow selected applications to determine the precise location of your macOS device on the planet. This is useful for showing you things like local weather in Safari. In Coppell ISD, our devices must have Location Services enabled for the correct functionality within Manager.
Instructions
- Click on the Apple symbol in the upper left corner.
- Click on "System Preferences."
- Click on "Security & Privacy" in the top row.
- Click on the "Privacy" tab.
- Click on the padlock icon in the bottom corner of the window. You will be asked to authenticate by entering your computer ID and password.
- Once you've entered your information, you will be able to toggle and adjust Location Services.
- Check the box next to "Enable Location Services."
- You have now turned on your Mac's location services.
- From this menu, you can also select which apps or services are able to use your Mac's location.
